NASA Seeks US Student Innovators for Future Space Missions

August 7, 2024 – NASA has opened a new round of proposals for its CubeSat Launch Initiative (CSLI), inviting US students and institutions to submit innovative ideas for CubeSat missions set for 2026-2029. This initiative aims to engage educational institutions, non-profits, and NASA centers in developing small, cost-effective spacecraft.

CubeSats are standardized small satellites that allow access to space at a lower cost compared to traditional spacecraft. They come in various sizes, such as 1U (10x10x10 cm), 3U, and larger, making them accessible for a range of experiments and missions.

The CSLI provides a platform for students to contribute to space exploration by designing and deploying these CubeSats, fostering a new generation of space innovators. For more information and to submit proposals, interested parties should visit NASA’s official CubeSat Launch Initiative webpage.
